House of HR in Emergencies (HRiE) was founded on a simple belief: humanitarian organisations are only as strong as the people and systems that support them. We are a global collective of experienced humanitarian practitioners helping organisations prepare, adapt and thrive through stronger people systems.
Our work creates impact at three interconnected levels: developing capable, confident humanitarian professionals and leaders; strengthening the workforce systems, leadership and organisational capabilities that enable effective humanitarian response; and advancing workforce practice through innovation, collaboration and shared learning.
Unlike traditional consultancies, we don't believe expertise sits with one individual or one organisation. We build the right team around each challenge, drawing on the collective experience of practitioners who have led, designed and supported humanitarian work across UN agencies, international NGOs, governments and national organisations. Because humanitarian challenges are shared, we believe the strongest solutions are built collectively.
